Slam Dunk

Former CIA chief George Tenet must be peddling a new book. Why else would his publicists at Harper Collins be peddling such provocative quotes?

There was never a serious debate that I know of within the administration about the imminence of the Iraqi threat.

So, Mr. Tenet, were you deceiving us when you said the evidence about WMDs was a slam dunk? Or are you tricking us now in order to sell more books?

Either way, it doesn't quite seem behavior becoming a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient...

But either way it does seem like reason to support efforts to get us out of the mess into which Tenet slammed and dunked us.
