    Beach Impeach

This past weekend, about 1,500 people decided to get together here in Speaker Pelosi's district and express their views.

The event was coordinated by local cab driver and activist Brad Newsham, using a lot of tenacity and a web-based tool from Working Assets called Volunteer for Change. The San Francisco event was just one of more than 100 across the nation -- all inspired by Brad's first event this past January.

Event participants also had a second message to deliver:

    Nice work, Brad!!!

And finally, something a little more sobering. Here's a video from Jamie Cavenaugh with footage from Brad's first event as well as the US occupation of Iraq. WARNING - the graphic images in this video may be disturbing. Even more disturbing is the knowledge that your tax dollars created them.

Somebody ought to repeat that with Reid, as he already has condemned Edwards campaign ad demanding that congress keep sending the Iraq bill back to the president as it is rather than compromising with Bush.

And the only reason to scold Edwards on this is because Pelosi and Reid intend to fold in favor of Bush.
