    The Weight of the World...

Exercise is important. I don't do enough of it. But I'm glad others are out there promoting it. A little more activity would greatly improve the health of our nation.

So, I'm happy that the President is spreading the gospel of exercise. Sure, I wish he'd exercise the muscles between his ears a little more. Sure, I wish he'd care as much about the physical maintenance of our energy grid as he does about the maintenance of his own body. Sure, I wish he'd recognize how economic injustice, environmental crises and skyrocketing healthcare costs make living a healthy life much harder for many Americans than just enjoying a leisurely bike ride. Sure, I wish he could bear the weight of the world as well as he bears the weight of his bike.

But still, I'm not actually criticizing him. I just think this photo is insanely funny.

And, sure, I could go on all day using the language of exercise to describe the problems of the Bush Administration...but I won't. Instead, I encourage you to go ahead and try it. It's fun. Shift your verbal skills into high gear. Don't put on the brakes -- any bad pun is accepted. Think this challenge is something you can handle(bar)?
