Citizen Tube
Remember the best moment of the first republican debate? A question posed by the online audience required a show of hands among the candidates: Who does not believe in evolution?
Three candidates raised their hands. (Click here to see which ones.) As far as I was concerned that question was far better than any posed by host Chris Matthews.
Tonight at 4pm PT / 7pm ET, the democratic candidates will face off once again but instead of answering to host Anderson Cooper, they will have to address questions from real people (albeit selected by CNN news staff). The YouTube / CNN debate will feature video questions submitted via Google's CitizenTube site. Republicans will face the same challenge in September.
Some pundits think it's a gimmick. Others think it has the potential to revolutionize the public dialogue with candidates. TechPresident.com has a good roundup in today's daily digest.
Did you submit a question to the YouTube/CNN debate? If so, post a link. If not, what question would you ask of the democratic candidates if you had the chance?
