War Shouldn't Be So Easy

As Nicole wrote before, there's an insidious plot to trick us into war with Iran. We've been warning Congress to hold onto that authority and not cede it to the President -- but Senators Lieberman and Kyl are trying a backdoor route to get Congress to pre-emptively cede its Constitutionally-mandated responsibility.

So, we asked you to hit the phone -- and it seems to be working.

Think Progress reports that the Lieberman-Kyl Amendment is being revised in part because folks like Senator Webb have spoken out.

Keep up the pressure -- keep calling your Senators -- tell them not to support this Amendment, not to launch another war, not to play into Bush's war-mongering hands.
