Turning up the heat on Big Coal

In the coming days, CREDO Action is going to jump in head long on shutting down the most egregious villain in the battle against climate change: Big Coal.

The coal industry produces 42 % of the world's CO2 emissions, utilizes some of the most destructive and invasive extraction methods in existence, and believe it or not, is now pushing to expand their reach. They're looking to sneak around pending legislation and throw in as many coal plants as possible in a short window. Not on our watch.

We are fighting alongside our allies to stop new plants in places like Michigan and Kansas, against corporate conglomerates like Blackstone, and to push congress to remove the massive subsidies to the coal industry in the climate legislation before its final passage.

If we want to preserve our climate and our communities, we need to show Big Coal the door. With your help, we're looking forward to doing just that.
