    You've really outdone yourself.
Love the cowards with the hats.
In real life, they've got to be aliens. It's the only explanation.

In panel 5, you forgot: "Rebuild New York city after the nuclear explosion."

solid strip, but you should probably have rewritten panel 2... They're not creating some other reality, the war HAS been as successful as it has been inexpensive (not at all).

So bezley, somehow fighting the war in Iraq has prevented a nuclear explosion in New York? I fail to see the connection. First, Iraq had no nuclear capabilities. In fact, they were very far away from it. Second, they had no links to terrorism. Third, they NEVER attacked the US! That is like saying invading Norway would accomplish the same thing.

Now maybe if we had invested the money in hunting for Bin Laden instead of opening up a second war. You know, fighting the actual terrorists, then I might agree with you.

The fact is that the current terrorism in Iraq is more of our own making. There was no terrorist threat in Iraq until we destabilized the country and gave the terrorist propaganda machine good material to work with. If anything, we have created an atmosphere where the attacks on our soil are now MORE likely, not less likely.

The neocons thought that we could bring Democracy to Iraq at the point of a gun, and it would sweep through the Middle East. They completely ignored history, and the wisdom of people who knew history, which plainly states that invading a country like Iraq would be more likely to destabilize the region instead of spreading Democracy.

Now we face economic hardships at home, and an unstable region. Instead of cheap oil and breaking up OPEC, we have enhanced their stranglehold on oil prices, and have driven prices through the roof. Good job.

Learn what really happened and why before you repeat spin that has no basis in fact. Had we never invaded Iraq and instead utilized our forces to capture or kill the terrorists responsible for attacks on our country, we would be better off economically, we would have a better economy, and we would be better respected throughout the world. Instead we have created an unstable region, and countries everywhere fear that they may be the victims of the next illegal preemptive war.
