  *ahem* I live in a small town (actually it legally is a "census-designated place", too small to qualify as a town), and the opinions of Big-Time Republicans are NOT popular here. The conservative viewpoint here (in the original meaning of "preserve the status quo") is to cut back on the liberties of major corporations, to soak the rich, and to protect the environment. And to not trust anyone who gives promises of Saving The Day, because they always turn out to be unable to carry out their promises.

  Neither candidate is very popular hereabouts. Although Obama has raised two dollars for every one of McCain's from local supporters.
