What's the big surprise? I said it right here months ago - Obama's a political whore. Of course he'll sell out his ideals and pander to the established power structure.
Only now, he's in a situation where that doesn't apply - a real actual crisis with the other party determined to make everything worse so that at the next election they can ride in on the white horse and look like saviors. He's been set up to fail.

Were you happier with George W Bush in office? Let's see who else would be able to even begin to tackle the myriad of problems that W and his cronies have left in their wake. How ridiculous, shallow and ignorant you are.

Apparantly you didn't read what I said. Dubya was a complete failure - he had no "cronies" he had MASTERS who ordered him around like an incontinent sheepdog.
Obama will not succeed because the bulk of the bureaucarcy was appointed by the opposition, thus preventing anything from being done; because the opposition will block him at every opportunity, thus keeping anything from beginning in the first place; and because he will bend over backwards to be conciliatory, selling out his own principles to get some momentary or promised political point.
Obama will be remembered as "The Man Who Tried". And his successor will not be truly elected - he will simply steal power.
Barrack Hussein Obama, Rush Limbaugh - ultimately, they are human. They both can fail.

I was happier with Bush in office. You just can't beat competance in a time of serious economic disruptions; Bush had it, Obama didn't.
