How desperate is the investing community getting? Yesterday I got a telemarketer call - an automated tape recorded message. This message said that if I had "at least $50,ooo in liquid assets" then they had a "guaranteed investment opportunity" for me that would be "backed by Federal Stimulus Funds". As if the crimes committed by rogue investment firms and hedge funds weren't bad enough, they're trying to find NEW crimes to add to those!
Is this compulsion by Wall Street execs to accumulate cash some kind of psychosis? They feel compelled to gather in as much loot as possible until the economy collapses and all their millions won't suffice to buy bread? This is beyond greed.
The AIG execs who turned back in their bonuses - I wonder what scared them into doing that. Did their neighbors threaten to lynch them? Or their grandchildren stop talking to them? I'm certain it wasn't voluntary.
