Another Republican Caught In the Culture of Corruption
Republicans here in Colorado have resorted to their typical - and typically boring - formula of slash and burn when faced with factual questions about their corruption. As the Rocky Mountain News reports this morning, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Schaffer, who serves on the state board of education, recently demanded that his fellow board members disclose who they get campaign donations from so as to prevent conflicts of interest. Yet, Schaffer "cast the deciding vote in May requiring the Denver Public Schools board to reconsider a decision to terminate a charter school" and he "voted without disclosing that the owner of the company managing the school contributed to his 2004 failed U.S. Senate campaign."
When confronted with these facts by ProgressNow's Michael Huttner, Schaffer deployed Republican Party Chairman Dick Wadhams to call Huttner a "sleazeball," and offered no substantive rebuttal about the corruption issue at hand. This is par for the course for Wadhams, who has been building a record of commandeering Republican Senate candidacies into the ground.
Keep it up, Dick, and you'll be well on your way to delivering another Senate seat to the Democrats.

Reminds me of the way Pelosi handled Jefferson, which was to tacitly endorse his bribe taking behavior.
Booyah to D.S. for his generous free advice to Wadhams and to waltc for that Pelosi mention. I'm a bit of a newbie to this armpit political polemics game and still can be shocked by how low these vermin unashamedly do their bloodsucking. I grew up in Ball-more, Md, the local pronunciation of Baltimore, the place DCites refer to as their armpit. Tommy D'Alessandro, Sr was the mayor most of the time. (Nancys dad if anyone doesn't know) I can assure you she is no stranger to corruption. I, as she, found greener pastures in Ca. Unfortunately I went from one armpit to another, Long Beach, the armpit of Los Angeles. It's hard to escape the armpit you were born too, like your class. For an escape from the armpit of American representative dictatorship read Parity Democracy, how to level the world economic playing field by one of the world's foremost experts on armpits. Found on all major online bookstores worldwide.
This week I took the time to compile my own list of Republican corruption. (I went ahead and included the pedophiles.) I thought I'd finish in a couple of hours; it took me three days. Last time I counted I had around 200 names.
I thought you might enjoy a gander.
